The aim of this advance-level module, which follows Aesthetics & Craft 1 (ENACT1), is to expand the students' knowledge about the relationship between transnationality and aesthetic and ethical values in twentieth-century literature. The focus lies on problematisation of the role that tradition, ethics, style, cultural opacity, and innovation have in transnational literature, in terms of craft and aesthetic choices.

The module also seeks to develop students' understanding of the relationship between authenticity and innovation, as well as theories on transnationality within literary studies.
