For courses and programmes starting in the autumn term:

The deadline is usually in April, or in January for international students, particularly students from countries outside the EU/EEA who will require a visa to study in Sweden and are required to pay tuition fees.

For courses and programmes starting in the spring term:

The deadline is usually in October.

Our MA programmes in English literature and English linguistics, which are open to international students, have an in-take for the autumn terms only. Our freestanding courses are only opened in the second (later) admission round.

Students following a programme at Stockholm University should note that, in most cases, application for courses within programmes are also made through A place on the course is guaranteed if the application is made on time and within the programme.
