Kathrin Kaufhold received a PhD in Linguistics from Lancaster University/UK in 2013. She investigated how master’s students negotiate personal interests, writing-related experiences and the requirements of their academic departments while completing their thesis. Her research interests include academic writing development, professional/institutional communication, multilingualism, practice theory, and qualitative research methods. Kathrin has been teaching in the fields of Applied Linguistics and Education since 2003.
