There are two specialisations: linguistics and literature. Both specialisations consist of two courses (7.5 credits each) and a degree project of 15 credits. You have to applied to both individual courses (from the courses offered the given term) and the thesis through www.antagning.se.

Specialisation in Linguistics

Students take two courses at advanced level in linguistics at the Department of English, each worth 7.5 credits, and write their magister's degree project.

Specialisation in Literature

Students take two courses at advanced level in literature at the Department of English, each worth 7.5 credits, and write their magister's degree project.

Application

The magister's course is only offered in the autumn terms when you can apply for courses and the degree project through www.antagning.se. If you would like to take the magister's course in the spring term, please contact the Department of English in good time before 15 October when applications close on antagning.se and we will advise whether this is possible. We can't, however, guarantee that we will be able to provide a supervisor for the degree project during spring terms.
