This course is aimed at students who want to develop their skills in reading and writing academic texts in English, as well as their ability to give oral presentations in English within different genres. The course will provide students with training in different strategies for improving their language proficiency in terms of academic vocabulary and grammar, and develop their ability to read academic texts in English effectively. Moreover, the course aims to give students the required skills to purposively communicate in academic English, both orally and in writing, within different disciplines.

The course consists of four modules, each worth 7.5 credits: Strategies for English language learning; Academic reading in English; Academic and scientific writing in English; Oral presentations in academic English.
