For the English Language Seminar on 3 April, Marta Andersson (Department of English, Stockholm University) will give a presentation titled: "Powered by Google: Annotating topic development in information seeking queries".

For the English Language Seminar on 15 May, Heli Tissari (Department of English, Stockholm University) will give a presentation titled "Using a dictionary to identify metaphors in historical data: Questions and challenges".

English Language Seminar: Kathryn Woolard

For the English Language Seminar on 23 May, Kathryn Woolard (University of California, San Diego) will speak on the topic "Language: Attitudes to Ideologies".

Mock defence: Andrew Cooper

On 29 May, Andrew Cooper will conduct a mock defence of his thesis. Opponent: Patrik Bye, Nord University, Bodø

English Language Seminar: Jukka Tyrkkö

For the English Language Seminar on 12 June, Jukka Tyrkkö (Linnaeus University, Växjö) will give a presentation titled "'I can go bing bing bing': Political language in the age of Twitter".

Mock defence: Jessica Berggren
