Additional / reserve places

Some courses may be open for late applications on www.antagning.se. Unfortunately we can't guarantee that we will have places on all our courses, as it will depend on how many students will register in August. Please note that courses commencing at the start of term will close for late application on 21 August, if not before. We don't process late applications at the Department. Please contact the Admissions Office at Stockholm University if you have questions about your application.

First cycle courses (undergraduate courses)

If we have additional places, these will be allocated on Thursday 24 August for the following courses:

- English I (EN1014) -  at 1 pm.

- English for University Studies (ENEU30) - at 2 pm

- Part-time courses: Effective Communication (ENEC14), Cultural Studies (ENCS14), Introduction to Literary Theory and Method - at 3 pm

All reserve roll calls will take place at our Department (room E839 / E832, floor 8, House E, Södra Huset). Bring ID and, if required, documentation to establish your eligibility.

You must be there at the above times to claim your place if we can offer you one. Please note that as we can't guarantee that we will have additional places, it is good to check our website before heading in for the roll call in case it is cancelled.

English II, III and Bachelor's courses

See information on our website for details on when we have roll calls for those courses.

Places will first be allocated to students who have made a late application through www.antagning.se and been placed on the waiting list ("reserver"). Re-registration on courses from previous terms will only be possible if places allow.

Teacher programmes

If you have been placed on the waiting list for the teacher education programmes (with English as a first subject), please note that we are allocating any additional places on these programmes on Wednesday 23 August.

BA programmes

If you have been placed on the waiting list for the Bachelor Programme in Language Studies or the Bachelor Programme in Language and Translation Studies (with English as the first subject), please note that we are allocating any additional places on these programmes on Wednesday 23 August.

Finishing English I?

If you started the English I course a previous term but did not complete all the credits and would like to re-take some seminar modules, please come to our Student Counsellor's Office on Tuesday 22 August at 1 pm and she will look at this with you to determine whether we can place you in a group this term. If you only have written exams left on the course, please contact studexp@english.su.se in August about re-registering. Exam schedules have been published on our website - see course sites
