I hold a BA in English from Goldsmiths College – University of London and an MA in English Linguistics from University College London. After my graduation, I taught English as a foreign language at secondary school in Luxembourg, before starting my doctoral education at Stockholm University in 2013.

I work within Applied Linguistics, mainly focusing on multilingual language learning and crosslinguistic influence in the acquisition of English. In my doctoral thesis, I investigate the effects of different factors on the choice of source language of transfer, by conducting a comparative analyses of spoken and written production. I use a mixed methods design in my research, conducting both quantitative inferential statistics and qualitative analyses of the data.
